Kim Williams.jpg

Hello, I'm Kim Williams. I've enjoyed 30 years of teaching theatre arts in public high school in Texas. Not being one who can survive without creative arts, I began to explore repurposed jewelry, metal smithing, and mixed media soon after I retired. I found that my background in teaching theatrical prop making, costume design, and stage set design was an easy transition into teaching online jewelry and mixed media classes. My flare is to mix in a little Texas Boho in my designs. I also find lots of inspiration in historical influences. I was on the ICE Resin Creative Team in 2014. I have taught locally and as well as online with Artful Gathering for the last 5 years.

Nichola Battilana.png

I am a formally trained artist and fancy-pants graphic designer. But really, that doesn't matter one pip and you don’t care about such boring things. (I don’t blame you.) My work is inspired by make-believe, magic, folklore, faeries, nonsense, and nature. The world is abounding with hidden treasures and chocked full of magic. I endeavor to capture those little bits of whimsy and convince other people to see them too, even if it is just for a moment. As a maker, I am absolutely passionate about encouraging the creative spirit. One of my main goals is to demonstrate the impact of accessible art created with enthusiasm and without an ounce pretension. Don't get me wrong, I take my mess making very seriously... but I also think the art world could benefit from some glitter and humility.

Pamela Hayward.jpg

Hello everyone! My name is Pamela Hayward and I am a self-taught artist originally from Grand Falls, New Brunswick, but I now reside in Halifax Nova Scotia. I have always been passionate about art, but I put that passion on hold for many years to concentrate on my studies becoming an elementary school teacher. Ildy Karsay.jpg

I'm Ildikó Karsay from Hungary, Budapest. I'm an artist, painter, graphic designer, artificer, calligrapher, typographer, decorator, parapsychologist, spiritual therapist, and mother of three children. I feel at home in acrylic, watercolour, silk, and oil, too. Love to explore new mediums. Since 1993, I had numerous own exhibitions in schools, art fairs, and galleries in Budapest. My paintings are in private collections in Germany, Australia, USA, Japan, and Slovakia. I was working for movie chains as graphic designer and decorator for 13 years. Returned to art in 2008, and seriously 7 years ago. I cannot live without art anymore. I know that art heals and teach that the road is important, not the result. I get inspiration mostly from nature. I made a free year-long online art program in 2017 in Hungarian with over 70 videos and inspirational lessons every week. Now I'm running online workshops inspired by nature in English.

Bianca Garcia.jpg

My name is Bianca Garcia, a full-time artist focused in oil painting medium. I have been working as an artist a little more than 10 years. Most of my experience has been painting faces, especially my favorite characters, melancholy children, and mysterious women. But more than just painting faces is painting expressions and give to each one of my work its own soul. I love the way how I can tell many stories just using a few paints and my brush, no using words. And the most exciting thing of all about this is that I am be able to express myself through my paintings. That is why I can tell that art means to me my entire life.

Petra Stein.jpg

I am Petra Stein and I am a mixed media artist, soul painter, and art instructor. I am 51 years old, have 3 adult children, and a grandchild. Art is my life, my therapy, my go to if I need to let go of feelings, any feelings, and I love to teach people to let go of perfectionism, to paint from your heart and soul! I paint for about 6 years now and over the years my style has changed a lot. I suffer from perfectionism and I had a really hard time with it. Over the years I found a way to let go of those feelings although that little voice is always in the back of my head. Now I really enjoy being loose and imperfect and I try to teach other people to let go of perfectionism.

If it hadn’t been for art, I might clearly have lost my mind after completing my Ph.D in world literature. After graduating, I just couldn’t pick up anything to read because my experience earning the degree exhausted my love of literature. Because of that, for a couple of years I only read books when I was forced to. However, my fingers needed something new to get into and I quickly embraced jewelry making. From there, I expanded my repertoire to painting, mixed media, journaling, polymer clay, and book making. I have to admit that I mostly love painting with acrylics and designing mixed media pieces, but the thrill of trying all mediums out drives me to keep working with all forms. Ancestor photos, especially cabinet cards, are probably the one go-to element that I most love to use, and I am thrilled by picking up odd pieces of wood and transforming them into art. The art supplies that are my constant go-to supplies are a Uniball white pen, a Gelli Roll black glaze pen, stamps, and stencils. A life-long student, I keep practicing my art, taking courses, and attending conventions to keep up-to-date and in-the-know. I love that I can bring new ideas and techniques to you for your benefit and love of art!

Dana Primrose Bloede.jpg

My mixed media portraits draw from my Native American ancestry. Captivated by forests, most of my paintings have a serene narrative with a soulful message. Each painting tells an untold story about women in a way that words cannot. You may see yourself in my paintings. They are meant to evoke a feeling of peacefulness, warmth, and trust. Other times they are meant to show an open, vulnerable heart, where pain and recovery lead to healing. All my paintings are mixed media, thick with texture and vibrant with color. My paintings are intentionally aged and distressed to obtain an old world charm. When I'm not painting, I am passionate about facilitating fun, creative, and educational art workshops.

Muriel Stegers.jpg

My name is Muriel Stegers and I am a mixed media artist from The Netherlands. I am a very intuitive, no planning kind of painter. I love to go with the flow and see where the painting will take me. I know now, after several years, that the painting always paints itself. If only I can let go enough of what is expected of me. Learning to trust that the paint is there where it is supposed to be! I take my time and love to work long hours on my paintings. I specialize in painting faces. It is what turns my creative energy on and having the opportunity to use all these different mediums makes it like heaven for me. Teaching my students to believe in themselves and finding that space that holds silence for them is what's most important to me. Teaching them to be able to let go and find the magic that is hidden inside is my main goal. Finding that ease of self-acceptance is where fireworks light off and stars shine bright.

Suzette Hussey.jpg

Hello, I am Suzette. I am a self-taught artist and online art teacher from Kingston, Jamaica. My journey in art began about 16 years ago when I began doing art and crafts with my children. Each new project excited me as much as it did the kids and I soon realized that I had a newly discovered talent. I began acquiring a multitude of books and DVD’s and, as my knowledge grew, my art evolved from Christmas projects with the kids to producing OOAK sculptures and mixed media pieces. Art for me has become so much more than producing that finished painting or sculpture. It is an escape from life. It feeds my inner child and keeps me sane in this crazy world. Art is, without a doubt, nourishment for the soul.
